Figurative Language


Figurative language is a speech or writing style that is examined further from the original, simplistic meaning in order to achieve a special effect of a hidden meaning by the use of figures of speech.

For example, similes, metaphors, personifications, alliterations, onomatopoeias, hyperboles, idioms, clichés and many more...
