Round Character
A major character in a work of fiction who encounters conflict and is changed by it.
A writer can employ a number of tools or elements to develop a character, making him or her round, including description and dialogue.
Example:
Harry Potter is a round character
The main character (round character) has the biggest job. He or she must be good, or else the movie is not a success. They also usually have the most lines - EED.
RépondreSupprimerThe opposite of a Round character is the Flat character. A Flat character is a minor character in a work of fiction who does not undergo substantial change or growth in the course of a story. Ex: "Sam the Grocer" in the short story "Lamb to the Slaughter" - EED.
